SMITHFIELD, RI- (March 16, 2012) On March 1, 2012, HANNA Instruments USA proudly made a donation of scientific instrumentation to the Woonsocket High School Science Olympiad team.

Four high school seniors from Woonsocket High School, along with their teacher, Ms. Sophie McGarrity, visited HANNA to meet with HANNA’s Marketing Team and to receive their Backpack Labs, an all-in-one educational lab product, which will assist them in their upcoming competition.

“To inspire greatness in our youth,” said HANNA USA Vice President of Operations Carl Silvaggio, “Corporate citizens must be willing to commit themselves and their resources.”

The Woonsocket High School Science Olympiad team will be competing against teams from across Rhode Island at the state competition on March 31, 2012 at Rhode Island College. HANNA’s Backpack Labs will aid them in their efforts.
