SMITHFIELD, RI- March 21, 2012 – Hanna Instruments, an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of electro analytical instrumentation, is pleased to announce the donation of  three Backpack Lab© science test kits to the International Enhanced Stem Project for 2012 called “The Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project.”

The “Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project“ will bring together students and teachers from 34 countries around the world to Santa Luzia, the sole island of Cape Verde which is currently uninhabited. The students will find better and safer ways to grow food, manage fish farms, reduce dependence on oil, live healthier lives, turn salt water into freshwater, predict hurricanes, reduce pollution, build cost effective communities, invent better technology, create jobs, fix the health-care problems and to create economic opportunities for improved trade between communities.
