Low Battery Indicator
The included batteries provide 1200 hours of continuous use. When the battery level is below 10%, a warning symbol will blink to indicate low battery condition. When low battery power may affect your results, the meter will shut down to avoid erroneous readings caused by low battery level.
Automatic Shut-off
The auto-off feature can be set to shut the meter off at 8 or 60 minutes, or it can be disabled so that the meter continuously stays on. The auto-off feature prolongs battery life for peace-of-mind and energy savings if the meter is accidentally left on.

Quick Connect Probe
A Quick Connect DIN connector makes attaching and removing the probe simple and easy. The rubber coating protects the cable and provides a water-tight seal without twisting.
Your measurements require detailed attention; so should your electrode. The HI99161 Portable pH Meter for Food and Dairy features a replaceable FC2023 probe that has been carefully designed for the pH analysis of semisolid foods such as processed meats, soft cheeses, soups, sauces, condiments, jams, jellies, dough, ice cream, sushi and rice.
Open Junction
The open junction design reduces clogging from suspended solids and proteins found in food and dairy products for a more stable pH measurement and reduced maintenance.
Conical Glass Tip
The conical shaped tip design allows for penetration into solids, semi solids, and emulsions for the direct measurement of pH in a variety of food products. Low Temperature (LT) glass is used for quicker results at lower temperatures.
PVDF Body
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a food grade plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents used for disinfection in the food sector, including chlorine (bleach).

Electrode Cleaning Solution
Your Portable pH Meter for Food and Dairy comes with cleaning solution that has been engineered to keep your electrode free from oils and solids found in food products. This concentrated combination of detergents cleans your meter quickly and effectively so that your meter stays in optimum condition.
pH 4 & 7 Buffer Sachets
When performing a pH calibration it is important that the correct buffers are used. We include some start buffers to get you going. The single-use sachets are individually sealed so you use fresh buffer each time you calibrate.

- Uses the FC2023 pH probe with Quick DIN Connector
- Compatible with the HI710029 Shockproof Boot
*The new Quick DIN probe connection is compatible with the old body design, however, the old DIN probe connections are not compatible with the new body design.
