Blackstone Valley Tourism Council

Hanna Instruments and the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council Team Up to Improve Water Quality in Local Rhode Island River

With our headquarters in Rhode Island, we are especially proud to have partnered with the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council. Supporting their environmental water quality efforts happening in our very own backyard is paramount to us. Since 1985, the Council has been a leader in transforming the Blackstone Valley Area into an internationally recognized visitor's destination. The Blackstone River is forty-five miles long and this valley extends from Worcester, Massachusetts to Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This well-known river is rich with history and is the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. Although the river's industrious past is admirable, it unfortunately resulted in severe water pollution, with its effects still lingering today.
